Launch of the Thuringian Tourism Database "ThüCAT"
On Friday, July 17, 2020, Thüringer Tourismus GmbH and the Ministry of Economics of Thuringia invite to the official “Go-Live” event of ThüCAT (Thuringian Content Architecture Tourism) and at the same time to the first network meeting of the database users in Erfurt.
More digital visibility for Thuringian tourism businesses through ThüCAT
In the future, the comprehensive database will offer companies, regions, cities or even leisure facilities digital presentation options. At the same time, guests will always receive up-to-date information that is intelligently linked with each other – from overnight accommodations and sights to travel inspiration and opening hours. The stronger and improved digital presence is intended to position Thuringia even better as a vacation destination in Germany.
New tourism campaign based on ThüCAT
The first visible application from ThüCAT will also be presented at the meeting in Erfurt: The digital content of the new tourism campaign of Thüringer Tourismus GmbH is based on ThüCAT technology. The campaign advertises vacations in Thuringia after the Corona pandemic.
The contact persons at the official “Go-Live” event will be Wolfgang Tiefensee, Minister of Economic Affairs, Detlef Klinge, Head of the Competence Center 4.0 at Thüringer Tourismus GmbH, Dr. Carmen Hildebrandt, Managing Director of Erfurt Tourismus und Marketing GmbH, as a regional ThüCAT partner, and Christian Wittrich, Managing Director of Join GmbH.
ThüCAT was launched as part of the Thuringia 2025 tourism strategy, which aims to promote digitisation in tourism. This innovative content technology was developed and technically realised by Join GmbH.
